I had several of those old Johnson's. 30 Hp would only go about 30 Mph in a light aluminum 16' Star-craft.
You know that's a two-hose system. It pumps air into the gas tank to get gas up to the carb.
There's a fix for that, converting it to a single hose operation.
I could spin you some tales about Fires and mini-explosions involving those two-hose OMC's.
