I really know nothing about boats, as my s/n shows, i am a jeep man. But recently my family tore down a shed in our backyard, and the roof was composed of something that looked like a boat. A few days ago my dad found out it was, what i think was called a plug (or a boat template or something like that). I was just wondering if their was a market for these or what we should do with it. If anyone knows who i can talk to or any information about this let me know. Thank you for your help.

A plug is what is used to construct a fiberglass boat. The fiberglass is laid up on the inside of the plug and then removed. It is roughly a mold for a boat. It would need to be in excellent condition to be used to make a boat as the fiberglass must be able to release from the mold once it is cured.

It is certainly an interesting item. It would be neat to see a picture of it.

That sounds the wrong way round, a plug is normally a male pattern from which a female mould is taken.
A male pattern can also be used to form a cold moulded or strip planked hull.
