Fergal,

I was just getting caught up on this thread, and wanted to say that I was sorry to hear about your boat sinking. Thankfully, you lived to tell the tale. Probably like some other people on the forum, the sinking of Olds Cool has got me seriously reconsidering floatation foam for my boat.

I hope that the coming year will quickly bring you success at locating and retrieving your boat.

I'm sorry to hear about Old's Cool going down. I wish you the best of luck finding and retrieving it. Is there any news? Have you located it?

Cheers guy's the search still goes on I have a few boats out looking every time they are in the area, unfortunately I had to sell my search boat to help fund my next project a wheelchair adapted cruiser, you can see the work solar here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthre ... 2057583016 I hope to have it finished next year and she will be fitted with all the sonar equipment giving me a lot more time to spend searching with the family, as a full time carer for my wife and son it was near impossible for me to get away but with this cruiser we will be able to spend weeks/weekends on the hunt.

:D So sad you haven't found your boat yet.The new project looks like quite alot of work, but no worse than adding all the guts after turning over a hull.look forward to pics on progress.

Just a little update :D Had a bit of a setback with a heart attack but the cruiser is just about done and I'm hoping to launch on the 20th of May and start the search again if I have to spend the rest of my life looking I will  but at least I will do it in comfort :D

Wow, now thats a transformation. If you can do that Im sure once you find Olds Cool you will be able to get her going again too. Sorry to hear about the heart attack! Glad to hear you are going to recover and search in comfort.
