Istanbul

Post by jamundsen »

Hi everybody
I'm in Istanbul, a Turkey on business and finally found some private boats. There is not much boating as we know it here.
You have to look close to see the boats.

I'm not far from you. If you just look south across the water you might see me waving.

I'm in Cairo, Egypt and this was taken a couple weeks ago in Port Said.

John,

Did you go meet any of the local boat owners? Surely out of all of those boats there's an owner that speaks English. What I have found from traveling is that all boat owners are normally nice folks and normally inviting.

When are you heading home?

No I didn't get to meet the owners but there were very few boats that weren't commercial. The Turkish people were very nice and helpful. I took the trains. Got lost. They were all helpful. Back home now.

I love the train systems! You can vertually go anywhere in Europe on a Cotten Pick'n train.

Ahhhhhh, home, I can't wait! I head home next week. Get home Thursday evening and we should be on the lake Friday if the weather clears Thurday. Woo hoo
