Bilge pump

Postby bob smith » Tue Jun 21, 2016 4:36 pm

You'd think high quality bilge pumps and automatic switches would be available. I've replaced dozens of them over the years and my assessment is they are all crap and you better check them often.
That being said, I recently had one fail so I replaced it with two! I really didn't want to poke another hole in the boat and by accident I found a Seasense Y valve complete with check valves so I can use my one thru-hull for both pumps, Yahoo!
BTW, water was coming in from a less than perfect exhaust hose joint, but only when using lots of throttle. Elusive to say the least.
G-10 or bust!!!
