Merry Christmas and Thank You

Post by Bill Edmundson »

First, Merry Christmas!!! May Santa bring you boat parts. I'm getting a new compass.

Second, Thank you! Everybody here does a great job of keeping this forum positive and encouraging. Moderating this forum is pretty easy. There are very few confrontations and it is rare to have to try and call anybody down. I've been here since 2005. I think fewer than 5 people have been kicked off. The screening on the Glen-L end catches most of the spammers. The few that get through are pretty easy to spot on the Moderator Control Panel. Sadly, we've lost some good people, of their own choice, over the years to disagreements. These were usually none boat topics.

Maybe, we should not let non-building topics on. But, many of us have become friends and it lets us know more about each other.

Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Well I got a new job for Christmas! My redundancy turned out to be a two month payed holiday, a small contract on the side to pay for Christmas and a much better prospect starting in the New Year! Funny how some things work out!

Thank you Bill for all your efforts on the forum - I've found it an escapist oasis of relative calm in this turbulent year. Credit also to fellow members for restraint when I'm sure viewpoints conflict. It's good to remember whatever your viewpoint, politics or religion, the only thing more important than friendship is boating!

Merry Christmas to all and I hope everyone else's fortunes work out as well!

Planning a whole fleet, but starting with a Zip...I think.

LOL, Absolutely!!

Fortunately, boating does build friendships. :D
Isn't it amazing!! The person that never has the fortitude to pursue his own dreams, will be the first to try and discourage you from pursuing yours.
