have bought some raptor 3/4 brads and was wondering can these replace the ring nails and screws or just the ring nails?

The ring nails are mostly used to pin gussets to frame. They were specified at a time when epoxy was not the norm for gluing. So the epoxy essentially replaces the needs for the ring nails on most cases. I used the raptor nails to pin the gussetts together so that they would slip while the epoxy was curing. No problems whatsover

Just a point. The nylon nail will partially melt as it penetrates the wood and bonds with the wood fiber. It will not pull out without damage to the wood and is far superior to brads and pins for this type of work

What is a "raptor nail" and where can I get some? Any other ideas on ring nail alternatives.I'm building my first boat,a T-N-T and am finding it hard to find ring nails locally.
Scott again.
