Hm so I have a problem - I think. Haven't read up on the finishing/fiberglass process of the hull yet though...
I have fastened both sides of the side planking. I drilled pilot holes, and then epoxied and fastened with metal screws. When the epoxy cured I romoved the metal screws and put in bronze screws, but quite a few of them would not go in all the way and now I have the heads of quite a few sticking out (about 2mm max). I used the same length screws and thought using the metal first would solve this problem since I've read not to countersink when fastening the ply.
Dumb question but is this something that can be solved when I finish the hull? Or should I remove them and drill for another right beside it, or should I grind the heads off so they are flush?
Definitely the holes are stripped as is.
Any advice would be great. Thanks as always
Dan
