how do I suspend the boat safetly, in order to redo the bottom? I don't want to flip it again. I'm thinking of a line from the bow hook, up to the ceiling, then jacking the stern onto car tripods at each rear corner.. Then I'd pull the trailer.I would paint those little patches after. Sound o.k??

Sounds like a plan. Be sure to block under the keel to take the load off the bow hook

I've used a loop of line through the bow hook, that way a line goes up either side.

You can also use lines from the transom eyes.

As long as you have a strong enough place to tie the lines to.....make sure the rafters or whatever you are using is strong enough.

You shouldn't have any trouble as the Squirt is light.

I suspended an 18' glass boat with a 225 Mercury from the garage rafters to work on the trailer before!!!

Ive been thinking about the same thing myself. Think I am going to go with tripod jacks. Gonna have to figure out something to modify the jack pads to support the bottom or make my own jacks with wood and make articulating pads to conform to the hull shape. Thinking 3 jacks will support it then move the jacks after cure to paint the area where the jacks were just like you said. Planning this for the spring, this fall is going to be spent on deck refinish first. Let me know if you end up using jacks I'd like to see what you use.
