I have been restoring my sons fibreglass dinghy. The hull above the water line has been painted in Toplac and looks great, the bottom in antifouling and I am cutting in the waterline over the Toplac. The antifouling has reacted with the Toplac.
Is there a primer I can use first ? I used Primocon but this reacted as well.
Do I need to paint the toplac over the antifouling?

Please help, everything was going so well until now.

Hi martyn I am using Toplac over pre-kote one part primer http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/us ... do?pid=120 I don't think you should paint it over the antifouling as it's made to break away over time and the paint will just fall off.

I agree that painting over the antifouling seems wrong, thats why I painted the antifouling over the toplac at the water line, but it blistered. I'm guessing I must find the correct primer for this part. The primocon blistered as well.
