Sikaflex for white stripping

Postby James P » Thu Feb 23, 2017 12:15 pm

Has anyone used the white Sika flex to do the white stripping on their deck? What type is it?
Also, how did you finish the deck? Automotive clear coat, Fiberglass? What is the preferred method for finishing the deck.
I'm clueless at this stuff, but willing to learn.

Thanks everyone,
James

Sika Flex might be OK, but you should use a caulk that has UV protection properties. You would need to check Sika to see if it has these qualities. 3M 4000 uv works well.

I used black Sika 293? on the bartender it looks fine. I like 3M4000UV better. But, they were out of black with no time estimate.

I've used Sika over many years in my working life. They should be reliable!
