Satin Varnish interior

Post by kens » Sat Aug 25, 2018 4:31 pm

Hi all,
I just declared my wife's stripper canoe build as complete.
I used Petit Satin Varnish on the inside.
I must say, I do recommend this stuff for interior areas.
It is a varnish, it dries as a satin finish, and most of all, it hides a LOT of inferior imperfections.
It still lets the 'natural wood finish' to shine through, and yet it masks a lot of imperfections.
It takes a lot to impress me, but I am impressed with this stuff.

Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

Probably cuts down on the glare somewhat while paddling with the satin instead of gloss.
