HI Brad
I glassed the entire boat. I split it up into 5 areas because of the size. 2 sections for the bottom and one for each side and one for the transom. Glen L recommended 4 oz deck cloth and it worked great. This was my first time and it was no problem at all. I appled 4 coats of epoxy and sanded it down to make it smooth. Some folks will tell you that 4 coats is too much and it may be but I sanded so much that it worked out for me. I started with 150 then 180 and then 220 sandpaper. In one section i used 320 and it really looked pretty good. I decided to stay; with the 220 so there will be some "tooth " for the varnish when I varnish it. The Epoxy has no UV protection so you will need to varnish in addition. The wood shows thru the glass like the glass wasnt there. I was skeptical so I did a sample board first. Most people that look at it cant believe it has glass on it.

Maybe it will be done by G6 and maybe not.

Brad,

Same here. Glass the whole boat. The glass will dissapear when you wet out the cloth with epoxy, like it's see through. You will need to put a few coats on and sand to get the bumpy/mesh-like finish out, but you will be left with a smooth frosted appearance that will turn crystal clear when varnished.
