Sculling duck boat

Postby WJS3 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 11:56 pm

Wanting to hear y'all's thoughts on putting the electric drive plan on the sculling duck boat. Mainly as an aid in limiting how much I would have to row if needed to cross some of the larger lakes in the area.

Are you referring to the Glen-l plan that places an outboard lower unit under the hull? You could, but you would lose the shallow draft capabilities of the boat. If you intend to use the boat in very shallow water something like a Thai long tail would be a better bet. A trolling motor would also work. I think on that hull a removable drive would be more desirable.
