Power Yak Waterline

Postby DallasT » Fri Dec 03, 2010 6:26 pm

I am building the power yak and have a question that hopefully someone can answer. Is there a way to determine the approximate water line with two people and one battery on board? I am assuming it would be about 450 lbs of cargo. Thanks for the help. DT

there is a waterline pictured on the plan page pretty true comparing it to the actual photos of it in the water. would scale and use that as a starting point

If you want to be absolutely sure, you can wait to paint the stripe.. is to float it with the load you anticipate and mark the waterline.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will try scaling the drawing. That seems like a reasonable method to get close. DT
