Right now I have a deep cycle battery

SeaVolt 105
Amp hour 105
Reserve Capacity @25A 185
Discharge Cycles 300
Cranking Amps 810
Weight 59lbs
Group 31

Would two six volt golf cart batteries be better ?? Have longer running time and more discharge cycles ??

Steve,

you kind of answered your own question. When you ran through all the specs. on your deep cell battery, you listed all of it's good and bad points.
Now do the same with the golf cart batteries. List the cold cranking amperage, and the other stats. and see how they match up, against each other. Here's the other thing- you'd have one more part to go bad. I mean another thing that could go wrong. the simpler the circuit the easier to keep it alive. The more pieces in a circuit the more chances for it to go bad.

2 cents...

Aloha!
