I took two photos of this guy's boat at the gathering 09. This guy did a marvelous job on his whole boat. But adding the electric motor to the foot of his Rudder was just impressive.
He's run the cable in some hemp, so it looks like a ratty old painter in the back of the boat.
He's rigged a Rudder control arm for sitting amid ships and two good sized batteries under the middle seat.
Look at the two photos. He told me to be sure and get a 'motorguide' as they have all the electronics in the motor body itself. All you have to hook up is the power.

The wooden shoe is there to protect the motor etc during transportation. I comes off for use.
Great job by this guy.

Hey, that's Andrew's boat.

Ok, it's Andrew's DAD'S boat but I couldn't remember Andrew's dad's name. I think it is Mike.

Andrew seemed to like the guy he was with. It was good to see so many good kids there.
Do you reckon the next generation will be better than we are? They'll have to be a lot noisier than Andrew was!

They'll be better than us if they'll only balance out the time spent with the video games and get out in the fresh air.

I fully agree with that statement. Technology is great but it appears to have taken over the lives of most of the younger generations. There are so many experences they're missing out on while they sit and twiddle their tumbs on some electronic device. Ya I get the irony that I'm twiddling on an electronic device to post this message. But its not my life  A lot of kids cant put their device down for more then a moment. Sort of sad actually :(
