I'm working on my Scrambler and I'm slightly confused on the keel directions. I can see it's 4" wide, but the thickness has me confused. The bill of materials calls for 2-2"(net)x4s, 16' in length. That sounds like it's going to be 4" thick. I know that's wrong. The instructions say, "The keel is a double laminated member of 1/2" net thickness installed a layer at a time..." To me, that means I glue 2- 1/4" boards together. That doesn't sound right either.
The "construction profile" sheet points to the keel and says, "Keel-2-1/2" net x 4" layers. Does that mean 2 1/2" (two and one half) or 2-1/2" (two, one half). So........Please help!
1. The keel is 4" wide.
2. How thick is it?
3. If it is laminated, how thick should each lamination be?
