Nice rework Will!. That will definitely make it easier to access the engine. Another really cool build.

Re: Removable Beam
What a slick idea!!!!
One of the things that I really like about the forum is that you can see solutions that others have come up with. It sets my mind at ease knowing that I can do the same if the need arises.
Nice work Will!

Great Idea! After it was too late, I thought of building the Tahoe as a utility with a drop in bridge over the engine. That way you could have both.

Well, I lost my motivation for a little while, but I have the fire back in my belly!!! I had to get some professional help (ha ha , no not that kind, just yet), mechanical help.... The fourth try at fitting the engine worked when you have experience in the shop!! I have to order some new longer angle for the rear mounts and then we will do the permanent install.

I have also started to work on the dash and the cover boards.

Thanks guys... tho gut I would reinforce this frame since I took so much out of it. Trying to relocate the oil filter on the engine and also fixing to get the rudder shaft thing in  Also stained the floorboard, so either I can put somethings my loosely over them or let the wood show..options I suppose...

If there is clearance for the half coupling and shaft, to get the most benefit from the reinforcement turn the rear plate upside down.

I’ll try that, just got the drive shaft in so I’ll see if I can turn it over. Got some other fittings today for the raw water intake and picked up some mufflers that were taken off another inboard at a great price.

Got to seal up the shaft log and figure out where to put the oil filter, finish supports for the rudder etc.

I offset the rudder to the right due to haveing a standard rotation (CCW) , I have a 71C transmission which should also turn the prop (CCW) I hope. My mechanic said that the transmission sometimes is setup to turn the prop CW. I checked the model number with a velvet drive install manual and it says it should be a left hand prop... so I think I am good. Any way to tell without starting then engine?

I know this has come up many times on the forum. Don’t want to redo the rudder hole... Ha ha
