Hi all-We are progressing nicely with the Titan which was started by Carlos Bairo.
Not being real good at forums etc,I felt I should at least make the effort to share along the way.
Obviously Slugs Titan was a real triumph and we hope to emulate that.
As you can see from the attachment the boat in the main is in aluminium, but I have also been busy giving at a traditional look with lots of timberwork going on behind the scenes.
Further to Carlos's effort with the basic hull we have most of the cabin and foredeck/cockpit area now complete and plated up.
Internal fuel and ballast tanks are in place and the driveline has been 'dummy' fitted and removed again.
As you would all know, its a bit of work, but most enjoyable and loving the lines of this little ship.

Cheers Scott.

Thanks for the kind words Gayle and hello again Doug-Hope you are putting some decent miles under the keel of Grace Parker!
As mentioned previous, we trial fitted the engine, shaft etc.I went for a Beta Marine 30 hp with a 2 to 1 gearbox.Due to the favourable exchange rates here,it was a no-brainer to go for new and I have had good experiences with Kubota engines.
The shaft dia is an inch and eighth(from surplus stock). The interesting thing is the prop, which I know you are running with a big unit. The advice I got from two separate manufacturers was for a 14'' by 9'' recommended in a right hand throw.I'm also using a PSS dripless shaft seal with water partially diverted from the proposed the dry stack.
We did extend the cabin roof by a small amount aft for some additional weather protection and appearance sake.It also allowed us to have a couple of extra handholds.
Pictures to follow soon.
Cheers for now-Scott.
