I am amazed you are getting that speed with those RPM's

Glad you had a great day. They are intimidating because you don't know what to expect.

The inboards with some meat under the hood are definitely a different breed. I only got spray over the bow when I slowed down to fast. She brakes fast and will nose plant.

And I am glad someone else knows what a strong hole punch is like. Mine does the same. However, my engine has run too fast to the prop so I am up to a 13.5x16 four blade CNC.

Now the fun begins - enjoy

Ron

FIRST :!: Get that :D Grin off your face.

I forget what gear ratio you're running. But, you speed/rpm sound about right.

Once on plane, I get 1 MPH/100rpm. 1.25:1 with 13x16 prop.

I'm sure there is more fun for you today.

Bill

Dang you guys are on a roll with all these launchings. Looks great sitting in the water too. Don't let Dave see this thread or he will be missing some work once again this year with some crazy boat building schedule and count down thread once again.

Too LATE. I already have the windshield for the next build in route so maybe I will start a Countdown to the Countdown.

Ron - Absolutely awesome. Wish you were up on this side of the pond

Enjoy the therapy of being on the water in her

Wow, I just love your choice of colors & trim components on Symphony.. definately one of my favorites amoung all the increadible boats built by other Glen-L builders. She is a real work of art, you should be very proud.

I have a question about a particular part.. on the deck... right in the middle.. there isn't a cleat but something that looks cross-shaped. I am not sure what its called.. but its that part that attaches the rope to the boat deck before the line connects to the forward chocks.

I don't know if I am describing it properly.. and I am trying to find out what its called because I would like to buy one for my build and I am having a real hard time finding it without knowing its proper name.

Thanks Vu!

I've found a few on the Net.. but they all seem really big/oversized compared to whats on Symphony. Anyone suggest a supplier?
