Any one build the Atlantic Skiff? How do you go about obtaining all the inboard hardware?
I have built a Glen-L outboard desigh, the Malahini, The motor I obtained after I built the boat.
If I decide to take on this project I want to obtain the motor,transmission, mounts, struts, rudder, etc prior to building the boat.
Whats an economical way to do that.
Diesel power would be great but most likely to costly.

Yes, you can obtain the strut, rudder, and mostly all of the inboard hardware and build the project. Diesel or gas power wont matter, the boat wont care. The engine stringers are standard width for inboards.
Strut and rudder are matched for the horsepower & speed you want out of it.
The difference between gas or diesel is in the transmission gear ratio; the final shaft speed is how you size the shaft/strut/rudder/stuffing box, etc.
