Looks great. Love the 914 in the background.

That is a friends, who is just finishing a total restoration...
But I also have a 914 that is restored. I continue doing cars also as a hobby.
(Maybe if I didn't the boat would have been done.)

Beautiful Robert! All that hard work sanding is showing. Love the lines of that boat.

Fantastic Job. The sanding will pay off; there's nothing prettier than a fair wooden boat.

Take a look from my build link below. the cockpit is all there but in little sections it's been pulled out of the boat waiting to be put back in for final Assembly but at least you can get the idea what I did.

Making the seating was a source of anxiety.. When I did mine - there wasn't a lot of reference material.. I'm not sure there is now..
That said - I went out and took measurements from my daily driver.. seat depth, height, angle, etc.. That turned out to be a big help in getting close to the final setup.. I wish I put a few more degrees on my backrest.. mine are a wee bit too upright.. or maybe I got older..

Also - I made an MDF dashboard before committing to a real one.

I found I could not plan everything at once.. So part of my approach was to do the things that I knew 100% had to be set up a certain way- ex: the floor. You have 1 maybe 2 ways to set that up.. Do that first and it will start reducing the number of options you have on other stuff.. on the same idea.. Steering cable routing... etc...

Bob Perkins
