Progress....
1. Mirror finish almost...
2. I'm very pleased with the 20mm x 3mm bar for the rubbing strip instead of importing d-shaped bar
3. The dash, wiring almost done

Dave; Is that rub rail bar aluminum or stainless? Am considering doing a similar approach on my Gentry...just can't justify the price of the Taco rails.

Hi Doug, it's stainless steel, not sure cost in USA but about $6.50New Zealand dollars per metre, which was so much cheaper than d section.
I think it looks really good, not like the "real thing" perhaps but I have deviated from that with the blue sides anyway.

Thanks Dave; Yep, it does look good. But then your whole boat is nothing less. Exceptional job, and just a little "out of the box".
Very inspiring.

Finished the wiring and battery installation today.
It all worked when the switches went on!
The rear seat drops on top of the engine stringers. The pole in the first photo is the pop-up ski pole with the vertical brace.
The cabin lights are like downlights, and will look I hope even better when the cabin panelling goes on. I also put 2 lights under the foredeck- all led's
Here's some photos...

Very nice Dave. The lights really add to the look of the boat. watching your boat progress gets me all excited to get mine flipped and start working on the topside. The hull is satisfying, but it's the top that everyone sees and it's the top where you best get to express your creativity. Great work!

Getting closer- here's a photo before seats went to upholsterer last week
We have had a bit of a drama with the trailer, which has delayed the engine going in.
Hot dip galvanising of the trailer was not up to scratch and it will need to be redone, only issue is that the shop is now closed for 3 weeks for the summer vacation. I need the trailer to transport the boat to have the engine installed so will likely miss the boat regatta I'd planned on attending in February.
May have to hire a flat bed trailer with some decent supports...

Certainly looks the part... ...just a question..how will the timber go without expansion grooving between boards on the bow etc? looks very neat...
