Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build
LAUNCH Pics on the previous page! I want to THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU who helped me with all the questions I had, and the advice given to me. You ladies and gentlemen are the best! This boat, even in all the chop (windy day) is so smooth. The ride is dry, thanks to the spray rails. This is the first time I have been in a wood boat, and the first time I have driven an inboard. I am impressed by the smooth ride. As suspected, there is no steering in reverse, and she moves fast at an idle, so I have some docking skills to learn. Bow is up while running. Waterline paint was spot on. Swim deck sits perfectly at 4" above waterline (or slightly less). Acme 541 prop 13x12 and I can go with more pitch because I'm getting to 4400 rpm before I run out of throttle cable, but it's already fast at idle. I will have to pay more attention to the Speedo next time, but I think she was running in the upper 30's at 4400 rpm.

Congratulations! What a fantastic looking boat, professional looking in every way. And looked so smooth and graceful in the video.

Hi,
May I say very nice! The rear cockpit,I really like the opening hatches, and the look! Did you put seats under the hatches?
Steve.

Congratulations Brad, very very cool that you were able to get her splashed this weekend. The upholstery job looks fantastic in that one shot. Just goes to show that with willpower and desire, we can accomplish beautiful work.

Thanks, everyone! Steve, I didn't put a back seat in. The rear admiral and I discussed it, but decided it was impractical for our personal use. We opted for more wood.

We find that people love the rear seat! We've had a lot of talk about who is going to get to sit back there!

Brad,
Fantastic! Great photos. You built a boat to be proud of. Many years of following seas in your future...Assuming this is addictive, what are you building next?

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build
I probably used up my 9 lives on projects this big!
An overnighting cabin cruiser sure would be nice, although I'm not sure the rear admiral would give it the green light......

Re: Tahoe 23 Georgia build
Every time I read the "Rear Admiral" reference in your posts, I crack up! If your not intending that in humor, well, I get a good laugh from it any way! lol! Great looking boat! Stunning! I hope I'm where you are right now someday with my Tahoe!! And I hope to see it in person some day as well!

LOL I can't take credit for it because I saw someone else here in the forum use it and I almost died laughing! Thanks for the compliments all, and Shane I look forward to watching your build!
