I appreciate it. Right now, I'm wondering whether or not to cut this guy loose, and take home the vinyl along with what would be a loss. I do have contacts for 3 more guys locally who are reputed to do good work. Along with a lady in Beaufort, Ga up around lake Lanier. My mistake was not following advice of my Rear Admiral. She said to get estimates. At the time, the boat was on stands in the shop. Based on knowing this guy, and that he was willing to come out to look at it, and his excitement about doing this project, and he would be done by the first of July, I pulled the trigger on him. Lesson to me is to listen to the Rear Admiral, and trust no one but yourself. Even if it means DIY and learn something new.
So, after parting ways with my upholsterer, getting my Sailrite machine and a little practice, I managed to make a couple of bolstered seat cushions. Bad outcomes sometimes create opportunities to learn some cool new things.
Thank you. It isn't as bad as I thought. Bryan, it is embossed. I didn't want to push my luck.
HAHA!!!! Thanks! I am now trying to figure out my front seats. I haven't had to redo anything yet, but they may end up getting an extra shot. They're the most complicated pieces of the upholstery
Thanks! It wasn't nearly as bad to do as I thought. The Sailrite website is great.
Thanks! The prop has been ordered, and tentative sea trials are planned for Monday, September 1st. I'll be a nervous wreck from here on out! Will it come off the trailer? Will the shaft seal work? Will it run under load? Will it......well, you all know what I mean.
