Nice Will. The mechanical part of my build is still pretty far off, but I am glad it won't be as complex as these inboard installations. I'm fairly handy, but never been much of a good mechanic.

Little more progress... couldn’t flip the metal support, not enough room... got the floor boards in to see how they look, shaft log is sealed and tightened down, and have the rudder bracket all locked down. Still figuring out the raw water intake and where to put the oil filter.

Wow, looking good!
Been working on my barrel also, Laying the top deck...
I'm starting on the engine mounts too, so your pictures are helpful.

I have made some progress on the cover boards... Need to same the rear end so everything meets properly. All the sub deck is fitted and now just trying to determine planking pattern.

We have about 3 inches of snow, delaying the planning of the planking... Give me some time to finesse the cover boards.

Looking good Will!
This is the fun part of the build.
I'm held up with the weather also. Since i'm outside, I can't apply varnish if rain is in sight.

Will

Three inches of snow in Shreveport! Crap! It hasn't even started in Birmingham. They say 2 or 3 o'clock!

Will

We only got about 1/2" of snow. But, it's only 10* this morning with a 12 mph wind.

I'm both jealous of all of your snow and happy that I live in California so I don't have to deal with it. Stay warm and safe!

No snow this time, but too cold for my bones.

Well after the flu swept through our house and travel for work, I made a little more progress on shaping the cover boards and prepping the hatch. Slow and steady I suppose is the key.

Looking great Will!
Those coverboards really came out nice! I guess we were worried about nothing.
