My wife and I had a wonderful 10 days in fla... I am so glad we stayed on the coast.. because the mainland was getting rain every day...I have a few pictures.. of the boat.. and a beautiful sunset...

When we got back home.. my wife went to work and that afternoon came home and told me she was retiring.. she said I just can not do this any more... so her last day is 10-22-15...glad she let me finish the boat first ... !

I probably will not add any thing to this thread...I will be checking out others building progress.. .. thank all of you for the help with this build...

Congratulate her for me. I also got to the point when I said "I'm done."

Great shots of the Flyer Kelly, thanks for posting. She looks right at home in the water. I am glad you were able to get in some boat time this year. I realize you are basically done with construction, but check in with us once in awhile. Who knows, perhaps you'll start another! :D

Hope you are well in the disaster that is occurring in the midlands and coast of SC.
Our daughters live in the Lake Kathrine area of Columbia. They and their families are ok but one's house is flooded and the other is trapped in her neighborhood.
This is a good time to have a "flyer".

WELL I did not think I would have anything to add to this thread ... but ... my wife's Dodge Journey did a ok job of pulling my Flyer..., but when we encountered some hills.. I could tell the Dodge was given all she had... so I have been looking for a better tow vehicle ... and I think I found it...
Ford F150 with tow package... which means bigger radiator and tranny cooler... and I wanted a cover over the bed... and seats in the back for the grandkids... so I think this truck checked all the boxes with a couple of extras ...

Some of your photos would make GREAT wallpapers.

Kelly,

I have to ask. Before the outboard, what was your final bottom line build cost? Also, did you stick with the screws on the site? Did you go rebel and use a different type?

Don't let your wife go if you expect to catch anything!
