Hey Tom,
I probably should get this thread renamed or start a new one. I moved from Orlando to Panama City about 2 years ago.
'
The build restart has been stalled due to honey-dos that were put off until the shop was built. Hope to get started in about a month, if my work schedule lets me. I've been to 13 airbases in the last 6 weeks, a few days at each one. Tired of the traveling, but whatever it takes to keep our troops safe.

Will post updates when I get started.

Hey Tracy,

Don't fret too much about the delays. Get your other things out of the way or they will gnaw at you when you do get started.

Kelly

I'm confused. Did spell check get you? Did you mean Port St Joe? St Joe is about an hour from Panama City. The Port St John that I found was halfway down the east coast of FL.

Yeah Bill, he's in Port St John. I wish he was in St Joe, then I'd have a fishing buddy with a boat already.

But I'm sure once I finish this, I'll have plenty of "buddies".

Did you have to extend your chine logs or battens?

I did, but only because I stretched the hull to 19 feet.

I'm really hoping that I can get back on this build, but work has me out of town for a couple weeks again.

I am not sure where I gained the extra 7 inches(20.4) not 21, but I'm not worried about it :) AND I FOUND THE DIRECTIONS! :D

Did you square off the battens off at the transom and keep them straight? Or did they angle slowly to the center?

I’ll have to look when I get back from TDY but I’m pretty sure I used the dimensions on the plans then tapered them going forward and equally spacing them. In other words I believe it was 7” near the transom then 5”-6” forward. I’ll try to remember a picture as well.
