Wow Jim, that is absolutely beautiful. As so many others have mentioned, the colors & staining on your boat are just stunning. I like the replicated Chris-Craft decals, too!

What are you going to tell everyone that asks what year is that ‘Chris-craft’?

Thanks!
It will be a replica of a 1939 Chris Craft Custom Runabout. It is what they call a "pre-war" boat.

Today, I caulked the seams on the bow deck. I really like the caulk I used. (boatlife polysulfide Life-Caulk) It went on smoothly with the cordless caulk gun Bill showed to me. To spread the caulk, I tried a plastic spoon, finger in sandwich bag, and nitrate gloves. What I found was that my finger worked better than anything. Cleanup was a breeze with mineral spirits. The masking tape was removed immediately after the caulk was spread. Being impatient, I really liked removing the masking tape immediately to see the results. Tomorrow I will mask the back of the boat. Need to get more caulk. I used 3 1/2 tubes for the work done today.

Thanks guys!
I was able to caulk 1/2 of the rear deck before I ran out of caulk. More caulk was ordered today. I figure it will take 9 tubes of caulk altogether. I still need to caulk the other side and the hatch covers. Everything is masked, so I am ready to go when I get the caulk.
