I am going to take out the motorwell and increase deck space in the back. Like this.

Kelly, what you know about gaps? Hahaha...this is why disc sanders aren't good for long curves...and my short attention span.

If it is fillable. ..mix epoxy and wood flour ( dust from sanding bag) or you will need to cut a filler piece and saturate it with epoxy...

I am pretty good with a belt sander...so a lot of my critical cuts ...I cut long ...and belt sand to fit...
This is probably a slower way of getting a perfect fit but works well for me...

It’s not that bad. It will fill. No to mention, I used to worry about these plans, but then I realized how over built this model is.

You are exactly right...I think. ..when Ken designed this boat...he knew/felt that some errors would occur....and this boat even with a few fixes here and there. ..is still a great stable platform for fishing and having fun...

I know when I was building mine...I would just slow down... double check...and even sit a drink a beer ...rethink...is this the best way...? Most of the time your doing everything right...if you do fubar....then that's a good time to sit and open that beer/soda and figure the best fix...

I always thought of myself as a good carpenter. ..but building the flyer...taught me a lot...and seeing the things you have made...I can tell you have saw dust in your blood...don't be hard on your self...

I promised myself, when I started this, I’d put aside all the joinery knowledge I have and remember my first bayliner project I restored with Lowe’s exterior grade plywood, regular 2x2s, and exterior screws...that was over 10 years ago, and she’s still going strong, no epoxy used at all. I know a lot of people swear by the best of the best and perfect plans, but my boat is a family fishing boat not a 45k$ showpiece. She’s gonna get banged up, but if my modified bayliner can survive, I’m sure this one will for 20-30 years

Not to mention, this boat will be garaged about 80% of its life.

I know you aren’t supposed to cut plans out, but it was easier for me to cut out the stem since I was cheap and didn’t buy transfer paper

Congratulations on your new baby! It shouldn't be a problem to cut out the pattern if you are exact with the cut. I bought the transfer paper from Glen-L. I think it's well worth it.
