oh yeah, I drilled the shaft hole! see how I used duct tape. my friends are teasing me for using duct tape to build a boat, next they know zip ties will be used.

Thanks Will for the drilling apparatus and fiberglass tube!

annnnnnnnnd a question: I have just sanded through my resin into a 2 x 4 inch size of weave. When I put water on it, the weave showing through completely disappears....do I need to add more resin? I know you are going to say yes just so that I can sand some more!

Ah sanding, I remember that all too well. I'm due for another session with that sometime later this year when I get the deck on.

Ok, I think I'm resigned to more sanding....but I hope I only have to add resin to the spots where the weave was sanded through not the whole side..right?

I'm sorry I have been lazy in posting pictures and updates but I've been having fun with the boat! I'll try and catch up here.

this is the partial frame #3 going in. I made it go all the way to the side (plans call for going as far as the carlin/deck clamp. I worried about some big bottom person sitting on it and doing damage, so I made it all the way to the side and added in a partial vertical frame as well.

The second picture is of my I beam an

d trolley system that will be needed next week when my new PCM 343 motor shows up!

I'm sorry about the sideway pics, I'll research how to rotate them.
