If anyone in the North Reading, MA area is interested, I have a builder's cradle for a Tahoe 23 on heavy duty casters that served me well. Your's for the taking. I'll hold off on recycling it for a couple of weeks to see if anyone may be interested.

I can't remember who. But, I seem to remember someone up that way working on a big Tahoe. Maybe, I should have setup a database along the way. But, there is always a field you didn't think about.

My son and I are starting a Tahoe 23. Just received the plans and are in the process of searching out lumber distributers. If you still have the cradle I think we would be interested.

How long is the cradle? Checking to see if will fit on my trailer or if I need to get something else to get it.

Hi Bob,
I really like your design of the cradle. I need to rebuild mine, and I think I will do something similar to yours.
Looks like yours is made out of 2x6 lumber. Would you please post the dimensions, and the materials used?
Thanks,
Jim

Harry,
I believe it is 10' long. I'll measure it tonight when I get home and let you know the exact dimensions. I am sure it would ride safely in the back of a pickup with a 6' bed and tailgate down. In fact I moved it easily once that way. It probably weighs about 150#.

Jim,
I used a combination of 2x8's, 2x6's and 2x4's. I'll post the exact dimensions and material list tonight.

Harry,

The cradle is actually 11' long.
Jim,
Attached is a photo of the end of the cradle the dim.lumber is as follows: the bottom stringers are 2x8's, the sides are 2x4's and 2x8's the ends and middle lateral pieces are 2x10's. There are 4x4's at each of the laterals through which the laterals and sides are carriage bolted.

I strapped the cradle on top of the hull and braced it with 2x10's for the flip.

That's fine. It will fit on my trailer. I'll need your address and a date to pick it up.
