I’m using the steering off the donor boat. It’s a different layout than other inboard builds I’ve seen on the forum, the steering cable attaches to the strut plate. Here’s a video:

Fire suppression auto POPS at 170F, this might be too close to the exhaust manifold. Anyone have experience with fire suppression systems?

The hatch is held in place with the diagonal trim pieces while the aft decking goes on.

I also put drink holders in the armrests. They are great and also get a lot of use.

None in the drivers seat though, can’t be accused of having a beer while driving 😁

Interior design is fun isn't it? I've spent countless hours thinking about where I want to go with my interior and still only have a vague idea!!

The decking is on. Making some serious saw dust now.

Man, that back deck looks like it's about a mile long! Are you doing the little strip of deck between the two cockpits or are you just going with two bench seats? Can't wait to see this baby out in the sun.

The Maple strips are purposely just a little bit proud of the 3/8ths Mahogany decking. The belt sander quickly takes the Maple off and all the major glue residue. It’s a rough tool that leaves some scratches but there’s plenty of sanding ahead to remove the scratches.

When you started this several years ago, I was amazed that someone could jump right into another one after finishing their previous boat. But you've come a long way now and this is definitely going to be the penultimate build. Can't wait to see this finished Matt.

Well thanks Carl, The joy is in the build. The finish line feeds my ego, but the journey nourishes my soul.

I declare the shape , close enough! I have small holes drilled at the corners of the hatch, snap 4 chalk lines and cut the hatch out with a circular saw.
