Thanks guys. Today I pulled staples and did some sanding. I also added some parallel reference lines over the cowls and shook out the decking...not enough...made more...probably still one board short...Tom

I was going to use fairing epoxy in the joint between sundeck and cowls. The slope transition fore and aft might work but the outside edge would not so I trimmed off the feather edge of the cowl so deck and cowl can meet as a sharp edge.

The cowls decking is on.

Next task will be to shape the cowl edge so it meets the deck thickness.

Holy smokes Tom, that dash and tail end treatment re really sweet. I knew this boat was going to be a looker. Really, really like that dash treatment. You definitely have a eye for style there.

Thanks Carl.

I've been working on the deck boards. I have just enough if I don't get finicky and reject anything. These darn things are FUSSY to fit between the curved cowl and the curved cover board. I never imagined how much time each board would takes. These are dry fit and there are still three boards to fit on the port side.

The deck is on the rear end.

Now I'm anxious to round over the edges and smooth the surfaces (not gonna use the S word).

Very nice Tom. It's okay you can say it. Sand is just another 4 letter word.

Saying anxious and s__ding in the same sentence might cause y'all to question my sanity.

The deck is on...pull some staples and on to a cloud of dust.

Rounded the transom cover boards and rough sanded the rear deck.

It looks a lot like I had imagined three years ago.

Even before you got to this point, back when you were building that back end, I knew it was going to be a real eye catching part of the boat. Your latest picture confirms that. Just beautiful Tom! Just beautiful! Congratulations on a fine job.
