Stephen nice work!
I like the bullnose design you are working on.
Not sure from the photos if you allowed for the final sheathing and planking passing the stem with the nose detail.

Hi Billy,
You make a very good point!
I think i will need to recess the curved flare I have carved into the nose by 3/8" to cater for the 3x1/8" layers on the stem.

That looks like a great way to achieve the look you are going for without having to add a ton of extra timber.
