I am building a BarrelBack and am approaching the point where I will be cutting the dreaded HOLE. This will require that I purchase a Strut and use for a quide(I think). My questions is, which strut do I purchase. I have measured and remeasured and have determined that I will not get by for less than 16 degrees. Not a problem I see them listed at that angle. My drop from the hull to the Strut is 7 & 7/8 of an inch. I don't see too many choices for different drops. I guess I don't understand this clearly yet. Somebody want to point me in the right direction? Thank-you :?

Bob - Use the 16 degree strut as specified and mount it parallel to the keel. As you mention the keel has a slight angle to it - compared to the motor stringers. The effect when all of this is done is that you final angle of attack to your motor stringers will be closer to 15 degrees. Your shaft log has a tolerance of +/- a degree and will be at a 15 degree angle to the keel. So everything lines up just nicely.

Glad to see you making progress. I was reviewing the G3 video again the other day and saw you on the clips. Got me to wondering about your progress.
