Before I buy the plans, I would like to know if anyone knows how the roof is raised.

I can't answer your question, but there is a fellow, Teddy Panganiban / teddyp@info.com.ph, who built one in 2000 and has photos in the RV Builder Photos on the web site. His description makes it sound like the roof has to be lifted up and placed on top of the supports.
