Thanks Jason.

I am looking at seeing if either car topping or boat topping is feasible for the Super Spartan. If Jimmy is there, I want to have Jimmy 70 there, too. I have to bring the Zip as I owe too many rides.

I sure hope I can make it and that will be mostly how I feel when the time comes but the meetings are so much fun and to sit around and chat with all of you. I figured I better try anyway as know one knows when the time comes you can't do much.

I was out trying to get my 115hp cranked up and all I was getting was the old familiar click click..the battery is charged up so has to be solenoid going bonkers. I pulled it off and drilled out the rivets and the damn thing was a mass of rust???? How did that get so messed up??? Got on line to see if could locate one here so I seen NAPA auto parts carries them so will have to make a run to them and pick one up. How come boat parts are so damn expensive anyway with as many boats there are now days.

The termites ate up my frame work holding the other 115hp engine and it finally collapsed. I got my engine lift out and snagged it off the ground and had to make another frame to hold it and then I put it in the boat shed. But I tell you this old 75 year old man was dragging ass by the time I got those two projects done, Whew..so today I was really beat up like a semi run over the old body... guess I can't figure out why I am not 25 anymore.hehehehe...

Anyway it will be nice to see all of the new and old faces once again and have a beer and chow with all of you.
Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

I think an old Ford style solenoid would work just fine. Might have to fiddle with the mounting, though. Should be able to get one of those for a sawbuck or two. Keep busy, just not too busy as to wear yourself down.

Roberta, when you were mixing for small jobs did you use a pump system and 40cc cups?

I used the 8 and 16 oz cups from Glen L. I cleaned them when I could to save on cost. I rarely mixed more than 12 oz at a time. I have a 32 oz Pyrex beaker I used when mixing larger batches of paint when painting the Zip. This was poured into roller pans.
