Geln-l Boat picture
Can anybody identify the what model boat is on the glen-l website home page. It is a larger picture and has a guy and gal going for a ride. The photo is taken from the forward end looking aft (I think thats how you say it).

That would be me, my wife and the Zip we built. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.
Re: Glen-l Boat picture
Thanks, for the model ID... great looking boat. What plywood did you use for the hull?
Re: Geln-l Boat picture
I actually dont really know what exactly the ply is. I went into the local hardwood lumber yard and said I was building a boat and needed 1/4" mahogany ply and this stuff is what they had. It looks like its only 3 ply with a African Mahogany veneer added on one side. I didnt realize there was 5 ply and didnt know what BS1088 was until I had already bought this stuff. Seems to work fine and holding up perfectly so far. It didnt have any stamping on it to identify it.
What you see on the boat is the natural color, no stain, just epoxy encapsulated, then fiberglass and clear coat. If you arent already familiar, if you click the second blue link below it will take you to all the detailed pictures of the build if you would like to see them.
Have you decided what boat you would like to build? Good luck on whatever you decide.

Re: Geln-l Boat picture
I am leaning towards building the Zip. I have found a couple owners of the Zip here in Wisconsin (Washington Co.).
Re: Geln-l Boat picture
Please list your location info. We're not far from Washington County.
