The end of the build is the beginning of the journey. I'm getting just under 40 mph and it handles like a dream. The kids and grandkids will love water skiing. But a liesurely cruise is just as enjoyable.

Cruising about 32 MPH.jpg
Update on the Stiletto. I uncovered her this spring and found that my beautiful ribbon stripe mahogany deck had delaminated. With three coats of resin and 5 coats of varnish I don't know what happened. I wound up sanding everything down, epoxied it over and painted it the blue color of the side decks. These are pics this summer on the Mohawk River.

Pamela,

Are you sure the plywood was exterior grade? That's very odd that it would delaminate like that.

The plywood was marine grade mahogany ribbon stripe purchased from Homestead.
