Very nice Roberta! It looks to me like you can start on yet another project after you hang the motor and rig this one. I see a LOT of room.

Thanks everyone!!! Not sure this one will make the G6. I will be bringing the Zip, but I haven't made a carrier to put the Super Spartan either over the Zip or on the Explorer. It's just too heavy for me and Rich to hoist up high enough to get on top of anything except the PWC trailer. The hull with all the gear goes at least 120 lbs. Should have used all Joubert Okoume. That Meranti is just like lead sheeting.

After those pics, Rich and I installed some 1/2" SS rubrail to finish the edges and protect them. Looks really nice. The 3/4" I had was just too big.

Roberta,

Looking great. I love the colors.

Now I need to stop drooling over pics of other builds and get restarted on mine.

Another beauty Roberta!

What kind of powerplant are you going with?

Now you can show me how to build a Pietenpol!

Thanks, Andy. Right now I just have a little Merc 110 motor (9.8 hp). This should push it along in the 20-25mph range, fast enough for the grankids for this year. I have set the boat up to accept the more traditional motors as the kids get older and bored. Next year I hope to have something a little more peppy for them (and me). This will do for now.

Roberta :D :D :D :D

I have the trailer all set up and I went over the hubs and cleaned and repacked the bearings with the same grease I use in the Zip trailer so there are no compatability issues. I put on the license numbers and named the boat. This is for you Jimmy!!! Hope you are doing well.

The Merc 110 seems to fit pretty well. The cavitation plate is about two inches below the bottom, but the sponsons drop three inches. Probably not optimum  But will be fine for the GKs for this year, until granny can afford a better motor. Won't be racing Bill anytime soon, though.
