Never had that happen even when using a very high ratio of wood flour. Perhaps the epoxy ratios were off and it wont cure completely?

I'm with vupilot on this one. I can't think of anything that would cause this, other than an incorrect resin/hardener ratio. If you're using West System, or any of the other products that use the pump dispensers, check for the "boogers" that tend to form inside the nozzle. Do this before your first batch of the day and you can avoid a lot of grief.

How long has it cured and at what temp? In my short time dealing with epoxy I have noticed it to be soft like silicon after a cold night but it did eventually harden.

I've used a lot of epoxy and wood flour also and never had a problem. I have always used the metered pumps for resin and hardener with MAS, West and Glen-L epoxy.

ALWAYS measure your resin/hardener mixture carefully. If you don't have enough hardener in the mix it will never cure. I always use full pumps of material. If you have a place to use some unthickened resin first it will cut down on waste. Then you can thicken enough to finish your filling job. Just remember the pot time is short and you need to work quickly.
