And then there was light and it was good. Finally got my wiring rough in done.

A few 'tweaks' were made to personalize the set up to my personal preferences.

In the ACCY hole to the right of the horn is another momentary push button, I will use this to activate the choke solenoid on my '59 Mercury Mark 35A - the part of the controller that I am using that houses the original choke button will be below my floor boards.

The other ACCY switch has two possibly not common functions. In the 'UP' position it turns on the gauge lights. It is not uncommon for me to make night boat trips at the cottage and that is done primarily by following the outline of the horizon and too many dash lights make having good night vision difficult, so I wanted the dash gauge lights controlled separate from the NAV/ANC.

The same ACCY switch, in the 'DOWN' postion turns on courtesy lights. These are extremly low current LED's, the 4 sets of lights run off a 1 amp fuse. They are 'RED' lights and give a soft light to make entering and exiting the boat for those same night trips safer.

I got to the ignition switch last for no particular reason, but thought it would be no problem just switching the wires from the original controller ignition switch to the ignition switch that came with the switch panel. OOPS! Seems the Old Mercury ignition switch connects two contacts in the "OFF" position to 'KILL' the engine by grounding out the magnets. Luckily was able to adapt original Mercury ignition switch to fit into existing hole in dash panel.

Just a folow up to post a photo of the 'red light' boat and show how the boat lift eye worked to lift the boat off the work platform and onto it's trailer. Planning on mounting motor temporarily to verify fit and all connectivity while using platform to epoxy and clear coat floor boards.

Wow, I really like that bow-eye arrangement with the bracket!
