Hi,

So a bit of time has passed and my progress slowed to a halt for a while.

However now I am working on tacking up the different parts and need a bit of help.
I am seeing a 3/8ths inch gap between the foredeck and the sides - I think that is too much and most likely caused by something which is wrong.

Is it possible to pull it in with a strap or something else while epoxy is added as tack, to keep the shape?
I can push it together with my bare hands without too much force.

Look here: http://www.plansforanything.com or at the attachment.

Remove the deck panels and check both side panels to make sure they are flsh with the sheers and fit properly together along the stem. It looks like there is a gap at the top of the panels where they meet the stem. You need to make sure everything is fair along the sheers and down the stem. It also looks like the deck panels were not cut evenly around the arc of the sheers and are too narrow foreward. They also don't seem to be centered at the stem. Draw a center line down along the strongback and refit the deck panels carefully. You may have to cut new deck panels and make sure you leave a little extra material along the stems to fair later. It's better to have 1/8 inch to plane or sand off than to have the panels too narrow. If you have not cut the panels at the dash beam you may be able to slide them forward and reshape them. Take your time and double check the proper dimensions before making any cuts.

"Measure once, cut twice." OOPS!

I have not cut them at the dash beam so I will try to reshape them.
