1st coat of blue. Lines are a little squirrely, ... but I'll clean them up with the 2nd coat tomorrow. Does it scream 70's?

Sorry, for the cell phone pictures.

Might need some brown pin striping to finish off the 70's look.

Really a cool boat!

Yes, it look 70's to me! I like it. I also agree pin-stripping would finish the look. I think my son & daughter would love one of those ;)

The Painting Is Finished, ... Whoo Hoo!

I decided to go with .250" vinyl pen-striping tape. So I have a $40 quart of black paint I didn't use.

All that's left, ... Putting everything back on, and make a reservation for the lake, ... NEXT WEEKEND!

A couple shots from the cell phone. My camera will be back tomorrow, my daughter had a baby and I am letting them use it.

Darn Fine Job! Suits that hull design very very well. I'm pumped to see it zooming accross the water soon!

Would love to see some video of it running across the lake if you can.

Thanks All,

After I added the reg numbers, I took her out in the sun to soften the vinyl striping, and reg numbers and I rubbed them down for good. I also took pictures with my good camera. Boy, ... she looks like a plugged in neon sign!

I wanted the boat to be bright as I want to be as visible as possible considering the low profile this boat has, ... I think I accomplished just that.

I'm now starting to add all the goodies once again. In a day or so, ... I think we can call this one done.

That look's great!!! Your camera phone skewed the color and that mustard yellow looked awful. The bright yellow and blue with the black striping really looks nice.

Thanks Roberta,

Yea, that's why I wanted to take some with the good camera. The yellow does look like mustard, now that you mention it, ... but the color name is called Sunflower Yellow.

I'm shooting for next weekend for the launch, ... but I'm pretty exited about her and I may just take a day off work and do it before the weekend, it wont be so busy on the water.
