Just another update. Finished laminating the shears and chines, and put the battens and keel on. Hopefully today after some yard work I will start some fairing. This being my third build, the 2nd peewee is going much smoother and quicker.

Thanks, Roberta. I think I am going to do a natural wood finish on this one. The sides went on really good this time. :D

Ok, so the bottom did not go on as smooth as the sides did. So i had to use some fairing compound to make a smooth joint. But thats ok. It will give me more time to do the natural finish on the decking. Also went ahead and filled all the screw holes. Can't figure out if I want to make a white hull or a black one. Hopefully I'll will be ordering the peewee fiberglassing kit on friday. I did get the first coat of resin on to seal the hull. :D

At the rate you are going you could have brought rough lumber to the gathering and you guys could have built it right there!!

Great work! I was stumped on the frames: what are the dark colored spots in the frame members? Is it a joinery technique, I cannot get the pictures clear enough to see.

Its knots in the wood that bled through when the paint dried. If thats the question you are asking. :?:

No, the picture of the frames sitting flat on the tile floor. What are the darker spots on the frames?
