Almost there. Hooked up the flush port of the old '59 Merc and ran her for a bit - started and ran like a charm, fingers crossed.

Here are a few shots of the area behing the rear seat and beneath the motor/splash well.

On the right is a 1 gallon fuel container, something I always like to carry with me - just in case -I'll eat the extra 7-8 lb. and manual bailing bucket plus stern and bow lines - and you can just make out the fuel filter/water sperator on the transom.

On the left I've got an old battery case with anchor/rope - tow line - life line - floating/waterproof/flashlight/whistle & rags/cloths.

The wider angle view shows one possible location for the cruser tank as well as how I am using the back of the seat to mount my removeable ANC light and fire extinguisher. The funny looking 'bumps' are floatation and there is more below the seat bottom.

Weather permitting tomorrow might very well be THE day!!!!!

I've replied to my own posting below to add a few more photos.

Here's the ancient Merc puttering away, one of the back side of the dash (a maze of wiring).

Under the deck wher you can see some of the floation hanging below the deck forward of frame 5 1/2 and a wonking big chunk of floatation sitting on the stem and screwed off to frame 5 1/2, with the studs for the rest of the under deck floataion visible. There is one more piece of floatation under the mid deck - this puppy meets fed regs for floatation and should never ever sink.

You can also see where my main electrical feed cable is hanging down - the battery will be at the forward end of the keel, butting up to the stem.

This last photo shows the old Merc propped up and ready to go. I decided to permanently attach my Hull ID Number on the transom.

I also decided to use the rear roller that came with the trailer instead of the flimsy looking permanent mount for the transom saver, albeit in an upside down orientation.

You can see how close the front end of the engine is to the base for the removeable ANC light, cutting it close there, and cannot tilt the motor up with the ANC light mounted onto the base.

Will hopefully post in the "Launching" section tomorrow!!!!! :D

Very Very nice, best of luck with the launch I know it can be nerve racking with every one looking but once you get on the water and that smile comes on your face it's all worth it :D sometimes the smile can last a few days and you look like you have lockjaw
