I believe it would be the consensus that you should use a bunk trailer. You can build one from GlenL plans.

After finding nothing but junky used trailers I bit the bullet and bought a brand new Shorelander SLV-15. Its works pretty well, it would work better when re-loading the boat if I had installed a bow eye in the stem but the cutwater is in the way of doing that.

Don't know your location, but here are two used ones....the add shows trailers, and two registrations, so not sure if price is for two, or one

More than likely just the top one now that I re-read the add

Those would work but his price for a 1990 trailer is the same as I paid for a 2009 trailer with upgraded 13" wheels and tires. Are galvinized trailers worth that much more than painted?

Depends where you launch.....in salt, it's not worth it to have a painted trailer

Well sure if you need it its more valuable to you but if identical trailers are sitting at the same dealer one painted and one galvinized was the galvinized one more expensive to manufacture thus commanding a higher price? Not something us midwesterners have any experience with. Just interested to know.

Even in fresh, the painted will eventually rust, but you can deal with a sand and repaint every so often.

I personally like a painted trailer with pin stripe accents, but have to go for the longevity here!
