This is a 1955 Johnson Seahorse model RD-17s 25hp. It was just recently pulled out of an old barn. I dont know if its in running condition. The motor seems to be complete with all parts. I do not have the gas tank for it. This would make a great project or a good parts engine. I can deliver with compensation. $75 and its yours.

Should I get it?

If that is one of the ones with the pressurized dual hose fuel system, the tank may be hard/expensive to find.

As an alternative, you would need to convert to a later model fuel pump/single line hose to use a later tank

Thanks, I will think about it some more. I guess if it is still on craigslist in a few days I might have to twist my own arm and get it.

Motor isn't in demand but very good looking motors. Without the tank the motor running $50 not running $25, and tell the seller to stop watching American Pickers!!! You can find the tanks at AOMCI meets if in your area. And remember this is just my opinion.

I have one pressurized tank in case I need it for testing an old OMC. The going price around here is about $100 for a tank. A local marine dealer carries the double hose to fit. You can also find tanks on e-bay quite often.
